Dear Ernst,
My information about the outbreak in Karnataka (India) can be read under two links:
and http://www.iita.org/news-item/fall-armyworm-has-reached-the-indian-subcontinent/
A publication with exact data about 14 places in seven regions will most probably published within a short period of time in PlosOne (maybe this already has been done now?). Two groups are currently working on a paper (or already finalized it?) about this outbreak: 1) University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences (UAHS), Shivamogga, Karnataka und 2) das National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms (NBAIR) under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
