Dear All,
I found this assassin bug sucking a Spodoptera larvae in an oil palm nursery in Papua. Anyone know what species is this?
Thank you.
Hi Wira,
My Hemipterist friend Dr Mike Elias tells me that the assassin bug you have photographed is a species of Pristhesancus…
Is definitely not P. plagipennis, but it could possibly be P. papuensis.
He’s also very keen to receive any specimens of Reduviidae from New Guinea if possible.
Kind regards,
